Tea and Heritage

The Quaama Hall Committee marked Spring in a more traditional way with a Garden Party and High Tea fit for a Queen.

Celebrating the Hall’s 114th birthday, the afternoon started with refreshing lemonade and punch on the lawn while local costume historian Kelly Row showcased her passion for period fashions from medieval times to the 1950s. It was a top class parade of men and women’s wear made by Kelly to be true to their eras.

We then went into the hall for high tea with a spread that I’ll bet was the best the hall herself had ever seen.

Congratulations to the Hall Committee’s Ros Ruth, who organised this fantastic celebration of our heritage. It was such a success, everyone thought we should mark the Hall’s springtime birthday this way every year!
