Reclaim the Riverbank – Sunday, 3 April

NEXT WORKING BEE: Sunday 3 APRIL, 9.30am–11am

We had a small but very effective group turn up for our working bee at the beginning of March. Because of the dry spell no new planting was done, but we were able to do a lot of maintenance. It’s amazing what can be achieved with three on the brush-cutters and three on the pruning tools.

The weeds were slashed around the existing plants by the bridge, and also along the track heading towards the cemetery. This is in readiness for another round of planting once we have enough soil moisture to keep things going.

Most of the planting adjacent to the bridge is going really well, and once they get up a bit, the weed control will be less of an issue.

The next working bee will be on April 3rd from 9.30 -11.30am. Please come along and bring a friend to help.

Thanks
