The NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) has declared an end to the statutory Bush Fire Danger Period for the current fire season, in the Far South Coast area from 1st April 2017.

Residents are reminded that they must, whenever undertaking any burning, notify both their neighbours and the local fire authority at least 24 hours before burning (this helps prevent false callouts to the fire brigade). Call the Bega District fire bureau on 6494 7400.
