Hall Gardens discussion & soup, 27 May

WHEN: Sunday 27 May at 1pm
WHERE: Quaama School of Arts hall supper room

The Quaama School of Arts Hall Committee is moving along with our renovation plans.

The dressing room project is well under way and the new internal stairs and side veranda floor look wonderful.

Our new tables are also on their way and we are currently working with BVSC to secure funds to repaint the entire building.

We can’t ignore the grounds either, so we invite the community to another Sunday gathering to talk about the hall gardens and how we can make them easier to maintain, much more water wise and incorporate more native plants.

On Sunday 27th May we invite you to join us from 1pm in the hall supper room. We’ll have hot soups and crusty breads for all, then a good walk around the grounds to identify changes we can make, plants that can be re-homed and work that everyone can assist with.

A key project will be improving the eastern side access to the kitchen by creating a tiered walkway where there is currently an uncomfortable slope. We look forward to hearing other ideas based on making the grounds more user-friendly and safe.

Offers of cooked soups, breads and other accompaniments or soup-worthy ingredients are welcome – email me if you have food to contribute.

To help us with catering, we would be grateful if people intending to join us would let us know. RSVP to this email, please.

We look forward to seeing you on 27th May.
